The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan

The Mark of Athena (The Heroes of Olympus, #3)If the gods are both Greek & Roman, then their separate halves have to stay separate or they get confused. OK. I like the ‘Greco-Roman gods are cos-playing’ explanation better, but this makes for a better plot.
We follow Percy, Leo, and Annabeth as they work their way through various trials, monsters, and tricky clues. Somehow, there are flying ships, a dragon, and ghosts along with the monsters.

Favorite scene: Leo vs Narcissus & the nymphs.

I’m not a teen, but I enjoyed the relationships in this book.
