I picked this book up again because of one scene: The Duchess who is quite rural does not want to learn city manners… then the Deportment Mistress demands how she will know the best way to break the rules if she doesn’t even know what they are.
Oh, am I allowed to break the rules?
Of course, that’s what they are there fore.
BEST LINE EVER WRITTEN. And the rest of the story is very enjoyable, as well.
