Sefer Torah Parade by Tzivia Adler

S T Parade.jpgWhat a fun book.  A little girl enjoys the parade with music and ‘real live fire’. And she’s got her very own flag to wave!

The Sefer Torah or ‘scroll of the Bible’ is paraded from the house of the family that commissioned it to the synagogue will it will be used. The Torah scroll is decorated with flowers for this special occasion, and the girl is wearing her nice holiday clothes. She is busy looking from the music truck to the policeman directing traffic to the ‘big kids’ with torches leading the parade. And when she gets a little tired toward the end of the parade, she sits in her stroller.

It is all very joyful and new, seen through the eyes of a child.
