While there are many ideas in this book, few of them are actually practical for a broad range of incomes. And while some are practical, they don’t deal as well with the dreaded _peer pressure_ as they claim to.
Peer pressure is just another word for ‘socialized’ – if all of your friends are potty trained, don’t you want to do the same? If all your friends wear brand name clothes, don’t you want to do the same? Because being ostracized by friends is just a $50 word for ‘shunned’ which is so effective that religions have used it for centuries.
On the other hand, Lieber does show that he talked to people of many income levels and religions, so the book might be interesting to some people.
